In celebration of International Women's Day 2026, FN Software Solutions trading as Ndasenda, hosted a special gathering at its offices under the theme "Give to Gain." The event brought together women from different organizations and industries to celebrate the impact women continue to make in the corporate world, in their homes, and across society.
The celebration highlighted the vital role women play in shaping economies, building communities, and driving innovation. It also created a platform for meaningful conversations around empowerment, mentorship, and collaboration.
One of the key moments of the event was a presentation by Fungai Ndemera, co-investor of FN Software Solutions. She shared the inspiring story behind the formation of the company and the vision that continues to guide it today, bringing technology to the last-mile user. She emphasized that the mission of the company has always been to ensure that digital services reach everyone, including everyday entrepreneurs such as women selling tomatoes in local markets, ensuring that technology empowers even the most informal sectors of the economy.
Guests also had the privilege of hearing from Ruth Makombe, Managing Director of Ndasenda and recently recognized as an Outstanding Professional Woman by the Zimbabwe CEO's Network. Drawing from over four decades of experience in the banking and financial services sector, she shared her professional journey and insights into the evolution of financial services in Zimbabwe. She also spoke about Ndasenda's digital platforms and how these solutions are designed to empower women by creating opportunities for income generation, financial access, and entrepreneurship.
The event was honoured by the presence of representatives from neighbouring organisations and valued partners including Little Rock International Group of Schools, CABS, the Embassy of Cuba, as well as clients such as Wisrod Investments, Doves Financial Services, Skyblue Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Ltd, and CB Muchero Innovation Hub.
During the interactive session, women from the different organizations shared their personal experiences, words of encouragement, and reflections on what the theme "Give to Gain" means to them. Many highlighted the importance of supporting one another, sharing knowledge, and creating opportunities that allow other women to grow both professionally and personally.
Beyond the discussions, the event also provided an opportunity for networking, collaboration, and strengthening relationships among organizations that share a commitment to empowerment and community development.
