Unlocking the Future of Financial Inclusion through Technology: Ndasenda at the 3rd Microfinance Tech Summit 2025

This year, Ndasenda proudly participated in the 3rd Microfinance Tech Summit 2025, held under the impactful theme: “Unlocking the Future of Financial Inclusion Through Technology.” The event brought together fintech innovators, microfinance institutions, regulators, and development partners from across Africa to deliberate on how technology can bridge the financial access gap.

Held in Harare, the summit underscored the pressing need to accelerate digital financial services for the underserved. The event featured insightful keynotes and panel discussions, including remarks from the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, who emphasized that true financial inclusion means leaving no one behind. This reinforced the role that platforms like Ndasenda play in offering alternative access to credit and payments for civil servants, pensioners, and informal workers.

The Minister of ICT, Postal and Courier Services, Dr. T. Mavetere, also delivered an impactful address, highlighting cybersecurity as a major concern in the digital economy. As financial technology becomes more embedded in daily life, the Minister warned of increasing fraud and online scams, urging all players to adopt robust digital hygiene practices and data protection protocols. Her remarks reinforced our belief at Ndasenda that trust and security are foundational to inclusive digital finance

One of the summit's most exciting elements was the opportunity for regional collaborations. Delegates from Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, Somalia, and several other nations shared insights into their national approaches to financial technology. The energy at the summit was electrifying, proof that the future of African fintech lies in shared ideas and cross-border innovation.

As Ndasenda continues to evolve its digital services, including credit access via salary deductions, mobile payments, and ID-verified onboarding, we are more committed than ever to building inclusive digital ecosystems that empower individuals, strengthen businesses, and protect consumers.

We thank the organizers (SNG Events, Zimbabwe Association of Microfinance Institutions (ZAMFI), and Association of Microfinance Institutions in Rwanda (AMIR)) for curating such a meaningful platform and look forward to partnering across borders to shape a truly inclusive digital financial future.
