On Friday, 27 June 2025, FN Software Solutions t/a Ndasenda brought its flagship DigiChamp Initiative to Kuwadzana 2 High School, furthering its mission to bridge Zimbabwe’s digital divide, one school at a time. Building on the momentum of an earlier outreach to Dzivarasekwa 1 High, this visit reaffirmed the company’s commitment to digital empowerment and financial inclusion in the education sector.
The DigiChamp Initiative directly supports the Government of Zimbabwe’s National Digital Economy Strategy (2021–2025) and aligns with the objectives of the Ministry of ICT, Postal and Courier Services, whose agenda prioritises digital skills development, local innovation, and the promotion of inclusive technology in schools. By aligning our efforts with these national goals, we are making meaningful contributions to Vision 2030 and Zimbabwe’s ambition of becoming an empowered and knowledge-driven society.
The session began with an engaging presentation by Evelyn, who introduced the students and teachers to Ndasenda digital platforms, locally developed fintech solutions that make credit more accessible, payments more seamless, and financial participation more inclusive. Through relatable use cases, students gained insight into how digital platforms can help solve real-world challenges.
Christabel introduced the DigiChamp traineeship, a six-month development programme that empowers selected learners to become digital literacy ambassadors in their schools and communities. These students will undergo structured training covering digital tools, financial literacy, responsible tech use, and peer-to-peer mentorship. Two enthusiastic students from Kuwadzana 2 High were selected to begin their journey as DigiChamps.
A key part of the outreach was a session on digital hygiene, delivered by Fungai Ndemera from FN Software Solutions, who is deeply passionate about using technology to drive inclusive development and digital responsibility among Zimbabwean youth. Learners explored critical areas such as online safety, data privacy, cyberbullying, and ethical tech usage, foundational knowledge that is increasingly vital in a connected world.
Students actively participated in an interactive Q&A session that explored digital entrepreneurship, responsible financial habits, and the future of Zimbabwe’s tech economy. Prizes were awarded to those who showed curiosity, insight, and enthusiasm, creating a vibrant learning atmosphere that extended beyond the classroom.
This visit to Kuwadzana 2 High reflects FN Software Solutions’ belief that digital inclusion starts with early exposure and education. By empowering students with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to engage in the digital economy, we are contributing to a future where no learner is left behind.
We thank the school’s leadership, educators, and students for their warm reception and meaningful engagement. We look forward to expanding the DigiChamp Initiative to more schools across Zimbabwe in close collaboration with stakeholders committed to the country’s digital transformation journey.
