In a memorable celebration of dedication, excellence, and growth, Ndasenda recently hosted its inaugural award event (17 January 2025), marking a significant milestone in our journey. The event was a heartwarming blend of recognition, appreciation, and reflection on the contributions that have shaped our success.
Honouring Our Employees :
At the heart of the event was the 2024 Employee of the Year Award, which celebrated outstanding commitment and exemplary performance. This prestigious accolade was awarded to Lina Vumani (Winner - Chef), Ronald Mtetwa (1 st Runner-up – Customer Service Officer) and Tatsunga Katsiga (1 st Runner-up – Business Development Executive) whose innovative spirit and dedication have been instrumental in achieving our goals. Their contributions exemplify our company’s values and commitment to excellence.
Recognising Long Service :
Another highlight of the evening was the recognition of our Long Service Award recipients,a group of remarkable individuals who have dedicated 5 years or more to our journey. Their unwavering commitment, institutional knowledge, and mentorship have been pivotal in shaping our company culture and achieving our milestones.
Each recipient received a heartfelt tribute and a token of appreciation, symbolising our gratitude for their years of service and dedication.
Celebrating Management Discretionary Awards :
The Management Discretionary Awards were presented to a select group of employees whose behind-the-scenes efforts have had a profound impact on our growth and culture. These awards recognize creativity, teamwork, and going above and beyond in their respective roles. Congratulations to all the recipients for their extraordinary contributions!
A Fond Farewell :
The evening also featured a poignant moment as we bid farewell to our first retiree, Constance Chivhunga. With a legacy of leadership, innovation, and mentorship, Constance has left an indelible mark on our company. During her 3-year tenure, she embodied our values, inspiring colleagues and driving our mission forward.
We celebrated Constance Chivhunga’s achievements and wished her a fulfilling and rewarding retirement. Although her journey with Ndasenda may have concluded, her impact will continue to inspire us.
Corporate Social Responsibility: Ndasenda 2025 ‘DigiChamp’ :
In an exciting announcement, we unveiled our new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, focused on promoting digital literacy and fostering a culture of digital excellence across Zimbabwe’s primary and secondary education sectors. This program aligns with Zimbabwe’s Ministry of ICT digitisation goals and our commitment to making a positive difference beyond our business and into the communities we serve. This program will focus on providing comprehensive digital ambassadorship training and services to all primary and secondary schools to empower them with the knowledge needed to thrive in the digital age. By offering workshops, online resources, and partnerships with educational institutions, we aim to bridge the digital divide and create opportunities for individuals to succeed in an increasingly connected world.
